Emergency Response Disaster Management Plan (ERDMP)
An ERDMP should be concise and informative, enabling members of the emergency control organization to quickly reference the action plan for critical functions being carried out:
- Manage an emergency and use the ERDMP as a reference for training.
- Prevent casualties both on-site and off-site.
- Minimize damage to property, machinery, the public, and the environment.
- Develop readiness for a prompt and orderly emergency response, establishing a high level of preparedness (equipment, personnel) in line with risk levels.
- Provide an incident management organogram with clear missions and lines of authority (incident command system, field supervision, unified command).
- Ensure an orderly and timely decision-making and response process (notification, standard operating procedures).
- Maintain good public relations.
